House pics!!

Some people wanted some updated pictures and I finally took them...okay, our house is finally coming along and I finally remembered to take pictures on a day that it was decently clean. Please excuse the half naked 3 year old you may see in the background of some....and I'll be posting some 3rd b-day pics too of her soon.

Getting closer!

I finally have email back!!! I am over 31 weeks along. I can't believe it! I'm getting so excited to meet this baby. Partly because of the obvious and partly because (I so hate admitting this) I'm kinda miserable. I hate those pregnant women who have nothing nice to say about their pregnancy's near the end...but I see myself getting there. My hands and arms hurt form pregnancy induced carpel tunnel, the baby feels 20 inches long already and prefers to be stretched out all the time and then there is the oh so lovely braxton hicks contractions. BUT I seriously am still in bliss. I cannot wait to hold this baby and love all over it. Laila is very in to my belly. Any mention of the baby by myself or strangers, she whips my shirt up and points out the "baby" and kisses my belly. She was at one point putting her finger in my belly button (when it was still an inny) and saying "ahh..the baby's got me". Hilarious!!! She also claims she will sleep on the rug in the hallway w/ the baby "all by herself". Interesting. She does very well w/ keeping the baby toys in the baby's room. She will play w/ them, but she knows they go back in there. Next week is our goal to get the room set up. We are waiting to paint after it is born.

And speaking of the house...it is so getting there. We are very thrilled w/ how far it has come. Except when people make comments about what else we still have to do. If you only knew the time, money, sweat and profanity that was already put into it, you would so keep your mouth shut. Plus, this is our dream house-we have forever to get things set and things will forever be needed anyway.

The pool is going! I was so not expecting that to be going this summer. It is a HUGE chunk of our checking account, but as soon as it warms up it will be worth it.

Reality check!!

After I posted I saw that I have 99 days to go. Double digits and I cannot believe it. how grateful I am for this life inside of me. I have not taken it for granted one second.

Moving stinks

So we got the house last Thursday the 15th. We have pretty much been there non stop cleaning and painting and fixing up anything and everything. Since it was a foreclosure there was a lot of little things that needed to be done. A lot of surprises and some things we were hoping would not be needed but were/are. Uck. I have been cleaning like it's going out of style, but it is nice to know that it will be a completely clean house once we really move in. It is definitely coming together and I can't wait. Probably by Monday we can start moving our furniture and then worry about all the extras. We've had help from our parents (thanks bunches) but it is a lot for just 5-7 people to tackle off and on. It gets frustrating cause there is so much we could do if we had an extra hand or two at those moments. I can't paint (doctor and husbands orders) so that is slowing me down. I'm pretty much packed here at the old house so there isn't much left that I can do. But it is all coming together and we are excited. Not too tired to crack some smiles, but a little too tired to do a happy dance. Little Laila does them for us cause as you know a 3 yr old NEVER runs out of energy. Yes, I'm a little jealous ;-)

As for baby news...not much else. Little one is kicking away and rolling. My stomach will bump like crazy. I love it!! At times it is uncomfy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. A little nervous since it is so prominent right now that what will it feel like when it's 19 inches long and 5 pounds partying in there!! It took a little bit for it to get used to my burst of motion from cleaning and it has slept or enjoyed the rocking the first few days, but now it must be in there rooting me on to keep going..or at least kicking me in gear.

I'll post some pics soon of the belly (stuff is packed) and pics of the house once it's a little more settled.

venting

Sooo...it has been almost 2 months since our bid got accepted on this new house and we are going through our 3rd mortgage approval. It is beyond ridiculous. Basically, the appraiser f$%*ed us royally. He/she nit-picked right down to the heart w/ initials + initials +forever painting on ONE basement wall. He/she called it vandalism on the house. SO someone is going to come into the house, go all the way to the basement, inside the one room in the basement to write one heart shaped love note. Yeah, looks like a case of major vandalism to me. If this new place and appraiser does not work, then we are done. I hate to be "poor me" cause that is my biggest pet peeve w/ everyone else, but seriously POOR US!!!! It's like most everything we do takes a long hard road. And yet people around us who are seriously in much better shape than us, cry and moan and it's like..if you only knew! But we keep on trucking and somehow continue to make it on our own. Thank goodness for one of the smartest all around hubby's in the WORLD. Curt is beyond great. I have said it and will continue to say it-thank goodness he is charge of every last $5 that comes into this place. We have 15 days until we have to close. We should know in about 10 days if it will be a go ahead or not.

On a better note, baby is doing great. Kicking up a storm in the most uncomfy spots. I swear I did not feel kicks and rolls like this w/ Laila until well after 30 weeks. I'm only 22 and I feel like the baby is waving hello out my rear. My sis wanted to feel the baby the other day and I told her flat out to stick her hand up my booty and she would be sure to feel it. I was serious, but thank goodness she wasn't that interested in feeling him/her-lol. I got another reality check. My appointment got cancelled cause my midwife had a delivery. It hit me that THAT WILL BE ME ONE DAY!!!!! This is really happening, I'm having a baby. But yet I still have to add on to the end...hopefully if all continues to go well. I have to keep myself grounded.

I also had a long and good talk w/ Curt about the whole fragile X thing. He is scared to death over it and I"m scared to death over him beings scared to death. I frankly told him to get over it and there is nothing we can do. He agreed. We discussed when we will get the baby tested, and some of our plan of action before and after. I want to focus solely on the baby and our life as parents and Laila as a sister and not have FX as the forefront of our thoughts. This is our last baby and we've had a rough road to get here so we HAVE to enjoy what we can and everything will fall into place. It and we have no choice for it not to.

And, OMG. Ms. Laila has turned into terrible 3's. Just when I thought she was getting better, wham she hits me w/ a total non-listening streak. But she's still so damn cute thank Heavens!:-)

She's big on "playing house". She'll make her ponies and dinosaurs talk and do stuff...like "poop in the bathtub". Which cracks me up cause she is not one to poop in the bathtub so I'm not sure where she gets it from. Or she'll come racing down the hall yelling that shark tooth (land Before Time) is chasing her.

Ultrasound today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Freaking AMAZING!!!!!! I am on cloud infinity right now. Laila was asleep the whole time through hers so I ate sweets and drank coffee before this one. It was moving a little too much the tech said--oh, well!

It was hanging out with it's arms up by its head. At one point it shook its head at us. It was also sitting indian style. It was all over the place and we got some great pictures. Laila got her very own again so she loved that.

I will post the pictures below, but they aren't very good. As soon as I can scan them, I'll re-post better ones.

How unbelievable. I am still in shock that I am at this point.
